I am the pastor of a large mainline church. I am also finishing up doctoral work in the practice of Christian spirituality. When I'm not in meetings, counseling, or being a rabble-rouser to the national church organization, I can usually be found out in the garage with a good cigar, a cold beer, and 50 year old axle grease all the way up to my smiling pearly-whites. Now that's a bit of heaven here on earth!
