John, here is eastern Idaho we found out real fast about privately built building on FS ground. We had Bear Gulch Ski Lodge, the ski area had shut down, but the parking lot still remains a major trail head for snowmobilers, CC skiers, some weekends in the winter you cannot find a place to park. One nice fall evening, while sitting at home, the whole neighborhood watched as a big puff of smoke went up in the timber. The local FS super had instructed a crew to torch the lodge without public comment. The super was transfered to Alaska a year after the fact. Now when the locals bellyache, the FS still passes the buck to the Super that is no longer with us. How convienient. Tom @ Snake River
