...for spraying on aluminum door and windows frames, before you drywall or plaster. Nothing sticks to it. When the drywall or plaster job is finished you can quickly wipe the frames off, clean as a whistle. It is also good for squeaky door hinges. The silicone based sprays are not desireable for areas that will later get paint, paint and silicone don't mix. WD40 is also a fair starter fluid/w lubricant ha!ha! So it has several uses, but not as a penetrant.
