24VDC to 12VDC conversion for 1952 M-37 ?

Where can one find the needed info for converting a 1952 M-37 24VDC system to a 12VDC system?
Also, would a basic rewire be needed to add taillights (12VDC)or where could the info for this procedure be found (hopefully with a diagram)?
