"Too many projects" You've probably all heard that, right? Unfortunately, (for me) this time it's not a sales gimmick.
I have a very nice 1956 PW for sale, if I can get back what I have into it.
It has a working winch, original fuel tank, the brakes have been rebuilt a while ago, and work well.
The engine has good compression in 5 cylinders. The #2 cylinder has a burnt exhaust valve, but the engine smokes very little, and has plenty of power. It starts right up. It has a 12-volt system. All gears work, and the transfer case shifts fine.
The cab and chassis is dent-free and practically rust-free, and would require very little body work to be a beautiful restored truck. Headlight and parking light cans are in great shape.
The seat needs to be reupholstered, and it needs a new headliner and windshield glass. The NDT tires hold air, but are checked. It has lockout hubs installed.
Included in the deal is a complete, disassembled bed, with several tailgates with hardware, two bed sides that have been sand-blasted and primed, two very nice original undented fenders, very nice rust-free running boards from VPW, a brand-new bed strip kit, and all the under-bed support parts.
I will not be able to post pictures for a few days, but can mail some photos to anyone who is truly interested.
As I said, I am just looking to get back what I have paid so far. My asking price is $7800. The truck is in NY State, and I can help to arrange delivery within New England or New Jersey.
If you are interested, please call me on my toll-free # and we'll discuss it further.
Thanks. Arthur
