trico vacum

There is a trico vacuum motor attached to the fire wall of my wc (civian cab) 12 and the voltage on the truck has been converted to 12 volts. Will 12v. hurt the trico vac. motor or can it work on either. I am taking the truck completly appart and am concerned about the electrical components that at one time worked on 6 volts. Also, Will the new wc 12 wire harness have the instrument lights that clip to the back of the gauges.
