I had an early '40s Clarks Clarktor 6 with a T214 in it that was bought for the engine, but I traded it on as it's such a nice little piece. Typical configuration is flathead six, three spped box with double reduction rear axle and big counterweights on the back. All under-hood stuff was standard truck of the period.
These things are still in use everywhere, although now outside the US they are all diesel of course. It's quite possible a petrol (oops - gasoline) was built that recently.
Gordon - sunny this morning in Scotland and off to put the rear axle back on the 1939 one ton.
