It's actually quite ridged 1/8th inch thick steel and wont wiggle if you try but you are right there is only one bolt to hold it to the frame. The bolt also has a cotter pin in it to keep the nut from backing all the way off. They are bent exactly the same and really look factory and not home/shop done for sure.
Not exhaust hangers as this truck had the flathead 6 in it and they are to oval shaped for exhaust.
Also doesn't look like anything has ever been attached to it for example chaine etc. All really clean(except surface rust) and unmarred. The mystery continues!!!
