Instead of a older Military one I found a 85 GMC with a Cat 3208 210HP Diesel, 5 speed Manual, 2 speed rear end, Air Brakes, 20 ft bed, 85,000 miles, newer 11R225 Tires, single axle to put a 1,500 gal tank/pump on. That way I can get cheaper insurance on 28,000 GVW. Little more Modern and faster road speeds. They like the newer trucks to contract and 6x6 is not nessasary for a tender. Same price range as a newer 2 1/2 or 5 ton Military but parts are easy to get for it. Now if I can win the bid monday on it! Mark H.
