Please explain the letter designations in the models...

Would someone please explain or point me to a FAQ that tells me what the different letters mean in the models. I'm mainly interested in the 61 - 71 Power Wagons.

Are the cabs that are used on the early 60s 2 ton trucks the same as what they would use on the 300 series (1 ton)?

Also, is it true that the frames used for the 300 series are different (stronger) than the frames used for the 1/2 ton?
