If the engine appears to be truly stuck. Before you pull the head. Check the bellhousing and make sure that the Throwout Bearing Collar didn't lose the little pull-back spring and spin around into the clutch pressure plate.
I had one do that :P.
Took the head off and everything. I dragged it up and down the road. I finally pulled the engine/tranny out of an M37. Still stuck.
I pulled the bellhousing/tranny apart. Engine turned with one hand!
Go figure.
