I had a friend that was working at a station in Redmond, WA in about '79 that had customer come in with low oil pressure and overheating. As he reached in to pull the dipstick, the filler tube on the radiator let loose flying off and catching him right between the eyes. This was a really good thing since it split the stream on boiling water away from his eyes. I saw him about a week after it happened and he looked boiled-blisters on his forehead and chest and in his mouth. Looked like he'd been wearing sunglasses, though.
