battery is an 8D battery. Typical use is cranking diesel engines. They weigh almost 100 pounds. Where I used to work building boats we used 2 on the smaller diesel engines. We once installed a pair of big diesel that had 4 of these 8D batteries for each engine. Each engine had 24 cylinders. Each cylinder displaced 6.o4 liters per cylinder. Powerful!
