as i was out for a ride, i discovered what i believe to be a '41 wc sitting on the lawn of somebody's house. i know for sure its dodge, but not sure of the year, looks just like the '41s on this site. went to check it out and found that it had the wrong bed, i think. its a vintage bed, but i don't know the old dodge beds well enough to know. the rest of the truck is in pretty decent shape. sheet metal is in really great shape for a 60 year old truck that has been sitting outside for the last 30 years. usual dings etc and some rust through on the interior near the wiper motors. fenders seem pretty solid, doors look good, doesn't have original seat and everything in the engine compartment looks good, though the owner said it starts hard, but has had it running. running gear is all there and the passenger running board seems a little weak, but the driver's side looks much stronger. etched into the steering wheel is 'Dec 8, 1944' with some other letters, words etc that seemed hard to decipher. the owner's uncle was in ww2 and somehow acquired this truck in a trade back in 64. i don't know much more about it. just wondering if anyone is interested in this vehicle, i'll give the rough whereabouts as i don't know the address and i'm not sure if the owner wants to sell. i feel the owner isn't going to do anything with it, so mayber it can be bought. what is the value? just wanted to share with everybody.
