Tach in M-37...how to wire to coil

I would like to put a tach in my M-37. Does anyone know whether the wire that goes to the coil should be connected to the + or - terminal on the coil?

I think I recall Mark Yocum telling me it goes to the terminal that connects to the points...but that was a while back and I am not sure now.
