The specially-built skids for the shipments are designed to be ultra strong in themselves, and to take up as small a "footprint" as possible in the truck, which will hopefully keep shipping costs to a minimum! The skids are virtually all lag-screwed together - not many nails at all, and when the bed sides are mounted within, they contribute to the overall strength of the package! It's a double-entry setup, fork-liftable from either the sides or the ends (with long forks). I still deeply worry about the gorillas handling shipments in the freight terminals, though - it sometimes seems as though they compete with one another, to see who can do the most damage! I hope I'm proven wrong about that.
Joe, it takes an "Act of God" to keep me away from Amherst every month, except that I don't arrive at 6 AM these days - Joan and I hit breakfast before we head on out! I'll get her trained, though! Dave Maher
