The bed rails sat on spacers. Some of the spacers were square washer type with the mounting bolt going thru them. These were made of a rubberized fabric. I used some pieces of flat belting material to make ones for a truck I am working on. Material is about 5/16" thick. The other bed rails that did not hace bolts thru them to the frame used round rubber mounts that had a "knob" that went through the lower hole on the rail. The "knob" kept the spacer in place. Spacer was about 5/16" thick. I think Vintage Power Wagons has these pieces.
Cab mounts were made of wood on the front on the early model trucks. There were also larger square type rubberized fabric type washers on the front. Rear cab mounts were square rubberized fabric type. You sometimes in addition need a metal washer to get the cab leveled and or lined up to match the rest of the sheetmetal. The cab should not rest on or rub the frame. The mounts should keep this from happening when you get the height correct. Hope this helps you. Todd
