HVLP won't vaporize as finely, so makes less overspray. It saves about 10% of paint, less stink to neighbors. If there arent't legal reasons rquiring hvlp, I'd go with conventional gun. You've got plenty of compressor for either system. If you gotta have HVLP, get a pressurized pot, the lower air flow of hvlp won't siphon the paint without pressure or a gravity feed system.Gravity feed systems are too small for automotive use.
