The Forestry Fire Trucks are 900 gals 2 1/2 tons and 1,400 gal 5 ton trucks allowing the tank and equipment into the factor for GVW of truck. This truck the guy wanted to sell was a 2 1/2 ton with a 1,500 gal tank and was wondering if it would be loaded beyone the factory GVW limits? I relise I would have to upgrade my CDL for the tank size but my 28,000 pound limit with air brakes should fall under that size truck. I have a full size bus licence with air brake endorsenment. Just not sure this would cover comercial use though. Mark H.
