Cylinder sleeves

Anyone out there have any experience with sleeving a cylinder? My '53 B3-PW engine can probably be rebuilt if I sleeve the #1 cylinder after it threw a rod and punched a hole near the bottom of the skirt. The hole is into the water jacket, but not out the bottom. Any advice is very welcome.
