I did the same conversion 2 years ago on my truck. Chassis was a 76 and the body is a 73, strictly a bolt on operation. I did remove the front clip to make it lighter to move. I used the 76 steering column and the 76 brake's. Had to cut the floorboard for the access panel but it was already detented as to where it needed to be cut out. wiring was the same. Did the whole thing in a weekend.
