Check out Don Bunn's "Dodge Truck History and Restoration." He has a few tips on waking up slant sixes. If I remeber correctly, the specific engine he discussed was a 230, but I cannot see any reason the same tricks would not work on a 251/265. There's no rocket science here, just some good stand-by tricks such as porting, higher volume intake and exhaust, and higher lube pressure. You might try swapping headers w/ a 230, I think the differance will increase the compression ratio...
