I have a 1971 Dodge Power Wagon W200 - 4 x 4 - 318 - My transmission (Torqueflight 727) suddenly stopped upshifting from 2nd to 3rd - runaway - if I rap the RPM's up to 5500 or so it will engage most of the time until deceleration. Also reverse does not engage - you can feel a slight drag when you shift into reverse but not enough to move the vehicle. If you rap the RPM's to about 3000 a couple of time it slams into gear.
I have reconditioned the valve body and there are no apparent problems, air pressure tests on the front and rear servos activated there respective bands. Air pressure test on the front and rear clutch applies resulted in a thud in the case but I could not determine if they were functioning properly. Fluid and filter are fresh, level is correct.
If you know what adjustments would remedy this problem if any I would definetly be eternally greatful. Governor pressure, rear servo apply pressure, kick down band adjustment, low and reverse band adjustment. Helppp
Thanks for your time - Grant
