Points or fuel are my bet.
Get a test light & test for power at the coil. If you have a dwell meter, hook it up & turn the engine over with the key. If the dwell is correct, you have a fuel problem. Could be moisture between the points but very very unlikely with an M37 waterproof distributor. Try pouring a small amount of fuel down the carb & try to start again. If it runs for a few seconds you've got fuel problems. All you can do is start by eliminating the things that it isn't.
If you undo the fuel line at the carb & roll the engine over, fuel should stream out. If not, go backwards from there. Fuel pump could be your problem...if there are any leaking fuel lines the pump cannot create a vacuum to draw the fuel from the tank.
