In '63 crewcab w200 4x4 w/ tranfer case:
I think it may be in the short shaft, and wonder how common or dire it may be. Seems to be around 1200 rpm in the top of third or low end of fourth. Sounds and feels like everything is going to come apart, sometimes. What have you found to be cause or solution? U-joints seems tight and good. Inner spline piece was recently new. Is this a common problem? I often shift too soon into fourth and have to lug it. thanks
