One of the last orders of business before priming and final paint was to mount the Cummins/NV-4500/NP-205. Got the Cummins 4BTA in place, drive line comes tommorrow.
I am surprised on how much room is available with the diesel. I have 6 inches to spare between the engine and radiator, 4.750 verticle clearence available and 2 inches between the back of the engine and fire wall.
When I raise the engine a little tommorrow, I will have all the clearence needed between the front Differential and oil pan. Compared to the space required by the 318 I put in the Bumblebee, this 4BTA is small.
Now to make all the engine/driveline mounts,
then pull the engine and drive train for final prime and paint. The gray seen on the body and frame is Picklex-20. I hope to have it in final paint by months end. I just mounted the radiator and shell to measure clearence. They will all get blasted and painted.
