1.) They flat spot...BAD
2.) They won't steer on wet/snowy/icy pavement (but siping helps)
3.) They won't STOP on wet or DRY pavement (but siping helps)
4.) They are useless with chains as the chains drop down into the voids between the cross bars so you have one link over the center rib touching the ground every 6-12 inches.
5.) They are about as effective as wooden wagon wheels on snow and ice
6.) They tend to shred/chip badly in rock
7.) steering effort is way too high for the tire width
8.) They "follow" road surface irreglarities
The Fix? One word: "Michelins"....11X16
