With the 5 speed it will do the job. Whats the rear gear ratio? The lower then better for you. Dont expect to run with the V10's or the Cummins diesel when loaded. The 360 will lug down and do the job. The 360 WILL PULL!
Check the brakes on it. The early 3/4ton+ Rams were famous for having warped brake rotors. Your truck may have them and they may not.
I have a 95 Ram 360 auto with 3.55 gears and it pulls my 71 Charger with no troubles. The PW should come in about 1200lbs more. With the goose neck it should pull much better then a ball trailer.
It should get about 15-17mpg on the highways. Put a loaded trailer behind it and it will vary from about 10-13mpg.
Plan to run 91+ octane gas in it. Theres been a lot of trouble and talk of 360's and the nasty ping. I dont have any problems if I run 91 octane. My truck is almost 8 years old and I love it. 95 seems to be the last year for the old school as far as electronics and so forth. From 96 on they started getting the computer involved in more of the total operations of the truck.
