Took a look in the dumpster where they're getting ready to tear down our old high school and it looks like they there won't be any "shop" in the new school (but of course it will be stuffed with computers). I pulled a perfectly good miller spot welder out of the dumpster and have been having fun attaching all my thin pieces of scrap metal to each other. It's a pretty neat toy, especially for the price, but I haven't been able to think of anything I really can use it on. So my question is, do any of you use a spot welder very much? What's it best for?
