probably crud in the master cyl
when pedal when to floor could have jammed
check valve assy or pushed crud down that is now blocking check valve assy and not releasing pressure from system ie brake lights on indicate pressure in system
first step would be to remove and inspect master cylinder
if you are not a mechanic or have not worked on brakes you might have this done by a professional shop (to cover your insurance liability if some thing goes wrong with your repair and an accident is the result)
