Mike is correct, in fact there is now a charger made just for the Optima! (I found out after ruining my good 11 year old Optima!! ha!ha!)
As far as Hydrometers and all that other info, Optimas are gel, not acid so forget that info when applied to the Optima. (except the safety tips)
FYI, Mopar just came out with a spiral technology battery, but I'll stick with my Optimas for now.
