I'm learning more and more every day! In talking with tire guys, I've learned that the major difference between 16.5 and 16 inch wheels is the bead angle. On 16" wheels the B.A. is 5 degrees while the 16.5 wheel has a B.A. of 15 degrees. This is why the 16.5's are unsuitable for low tire preasure applications, as the tire can easily dismount.
I will continue to research this matter. Thanks again for your help!
