Rim Modifications 18" and 20" Bud

On those 18" and 20" rims I ran across, the bolt patterns are too large for a PW. These rims have an 8" or 8.5" bolt circle. Has anyone out there cut out the inner bolt circle and replaced it with a bolt circle that would fit on a flatfender? It seems like I could throw these rims up onto the mill, cut out the larger bolt circle, reweld in a new center and then redrill the center hole and the lug bolt holes. Any thoughts or ideas on this.
