I'm not mad at you, Marty. It is a little disappointing that things are going wrong with it, I have to say. When the rear axle was leaking and I took it apart, it was missing some seals and was put together not quite right. I'm now thinking that other parts of the truck may be that way: new parts, but not quite sealed and assembled right.
The rear main seal apparently blew on the trip down to Hollister. It has only dripped a very slight amount of oil over the past year (I park it on a fresh concrete pad under a carport so I know that any/all oil stains are from the Power Wagon). When we stopped at a gas station on the way down, oil was practically pouring out of the hole in the dust cover over the flywheel.
I dropped the truck with a really good mechanic I know, to take a good look at where it's leaking oil, and will know more soon.
It's still shaking out, I realize, but I've had the truck for a year now and have treated it very gingerly and it doesn't seem like it should be needing anything major, I have to say. I'll get it straightened out, I'm sure.
