Cab stripping

I am starting to remove the cab on my truck to strip the interior down to metal. I would like to get all the surface rust off of the exterior and remove all the paint and rust from the interior. I need some advice on how to go about this. What would be the best way for me to tackle this. I have to confess, Looking at all the nooks and crannys and getting at the underside, looks to be a little overwhelming. I've hear that sandbasting causes the sheet metal to distort, and I think chemical stripping would make one huge mess.
So any advice on how to approach this would be great. Thanks Garth Q.
