I appreciate the suggestions “pie pans” and comments, etc., etc., posted in a previous post, but after doing some research I have found what I believe was the weapon that was used. It is referred to as an “Acoustic Weapon.” The devise is portable and propels sonic energy packets towards a target. Some propel base ball size packets several hundred yards. The comments and suggested items that were provided do not fit or describe what I heard or felt at 5:10am in the morning and not by a bunch of kids playing a stereo.
There are three types of weapons: Infrasound, Sonic and Ultrasonic:
Frequency – Less than 20 HZ to 20 KHZ
Target Effects - Mild to severe discomfort; organ functional disturbance; organ disruption; pain; tissue damage.
Propagation Characteristics - Ground or structure penetration; Long-range propagation Non-directional to limited propagation; highly directional.
Based on my research (best fits what I heard and felt), my profession as a Security Specialist, and knowledge of audio/stereo equipment, it was sound that was quite, yet definitely felt. Sorry for posting an item that was of a serious matter to me.
