The lower the ratio the better but if I was going to be doing a lot of towing I would upgrade to a diesel, hemi, or v-10. A 360 just has no butt to. It can pull the truck itself but hook a trailer to it and its sickining(spelling?). Plus thats a big truck for a 360 anyway. Just my opinion. So yes get the 4.10 gears for towing Thomas
