Front end "shimmies" can be hard to locate. Basically they ar ecaused by the following; loose or worn joints (tie rod ends, ball joints steering arms etc.) Alignment, tire balance, or too large of a tire diameter on worn components, worn shocks, unmatched tire air pressure, worn king pins.
You have eliminated some of those causes already, I'd be surprised if the springs had anything at all to do with it. Sometimes a shimmy can be eliminated but not stopped, that is the reason that the factories and off road racers started installing steering stabilzers. Jack the truck up and place the front axle on jack stands, DO NOT WORK OFF OF THE JACK ONLY!, then start moving and shaking each and every component until you find the source. There is a worn or loose tie rod end, steering arm or kingpin that you have still not found, check the steering gear slop also. Try rotating your tires from front to rear. Sometimes it takes days or weeks to track these down but the culprit is there hiding!
