I have posted several times on this forum information on the Master Series Rust Sealer Paint. This paint is a moisture cured urethane with aluminum powder which will cut off all oxygen and moisture to the rust it is painted on. No, it is not as expensive as POR-15 nor is it as inexpensive as Magnet Paint (which I know nothing about). But, a rust sealer paint is cheap insurance to a restoration that can cost thousands of dollars. Can a $30 difference in value be serious enough detriment to make sure you get it done right the first time?
I just finished the Carlisle show this past weekend where I sell the Master Series rust sealer. One quart will give two coats on a full size frame when brushed on. One quart is $23 (show price). Full price is $27. Gallon prices available at Halon Marketing (1-800-343-9763)but you don't need a gallon.
Incidentally, a number of customers came to my booth this past weekend complaining about POR-15.If there are questions I will not return home until May 5.
