Transfer case interchange?

I removed a WC61 transfer case from my 53B4, (casting #C38534) and have a M37 transfer case (#C38631) that appears to have the same mounting points. Can these be interchanged with the correct transfer? I think it would be #C38695. Thanks, Rob
