Door latch repair advice needed

I have door on the passenger side (WDX-type cab) that does not latch right.

The latch mechanism does not have spring to push the latch down.

I can't see how to get at this. I can take off the inside panel, but then there is an inner panel and window mechanism that seems to block access to this latch.

How do I get at it?
