Depending on your intentions for your truck - drive for work and play or restore for show - you may consider a trick used by street rodders.
1. Repair any rust in your cab's windshield opening and paint well (Paint must bond).
2. Cut matching laminated safety glass halves to fit the windshield opening with 1/8 inch clearance on top, bottom and outside edges.
3. Install halves using flexible windshield adhesive.
4. Halves should fit so center seam is even and close. Seal seam with clear sealer/adhesive.
5. Find suitable garnish molding to glue to outside of glass edge to finish. You may find a molding to glue over the center joint.
Windshield will not open but you will not have water inside the cab.
