A good trick for air horns on a tactical (M37) is to get a set off of most any 2-1/2 or 5-ton. They are available from any surplus wrecking outfit, and have a really shrill, get-out-of-my-way sound! My other advice is keep a 24V truck all 24, as tapping batteries is a bad idea from the life standpoint, and reducers are so inefficient!

: : Greetings All:
: : I'm familiar with the trick of picking off 12 volt

: : to find a transformer or a 12 volt resistor for running
: : some air-horns on my truck.
: : does anyone have a source for a twelve volt
: : converter or in-line ciruit resistor? For that matter,
: : does anyone know of 24 volt air-horns that might be
: : available?
: : Thanks for your help!

: I bought a convertor at the auto electric parts store for about $65, but I can't remember the name of it. A truck supply place should have the horns.
