Thanks, John, you just made a huge point, and thanks George for mentioning.
I happen to be a 'Believer' but as you say, "So what?" Seems to me, now that it is well established as an American Tradition, an integral part of our history and design of our currency, so what? Saying that, only someone with a highly DISCRIMINATORY anti-religious bent would protest, and within that they're also stepping on America's traditions.
There's also a whole bunch of other stuff hidden away on our currency which is questionable as to origin and intent, you know, the big eye, pyramid, 'novus ordo seclorum', etc. So what.
I'd have to say that someone so anxious about In God We Trust, to want it removed from currency, is exhibiting some deep rooted insecurity somehow, or else a discriminatory agenda.
Ever notice that 99% of ACLU cases brought to court are showing a clear discrimination against anyone Christian, or who believes in the Bible? And THEY'RE the ones crying 'Discrimination'? Yeah, BY THEM, continuously. Free country, long as it agrees with our views? Do we see them fighting in court to have Koran, Bhagavad Ghita, Hinduism, Confucius, Zoroaster taken out of schools? |
