I recently read a book about old Richard Daley, not the current Mayor of Chicago, but his dad, the old man.
It seems there was a woman who worked for old mayor Daley who was a delegate to the Democratic conventions for years(it doesn't say how long)anyway after the 1976 convention in NYC this woman made the remark that "all the party cares about are minorities and homosexuals" I must say now that I cleaned up that quote so that I could post it here. I respect everyone on here enough to not post something that would be deliberately offensive to others, and would never take advantage of Mopar Norm who has done so much for all of us here
I will also say hoping this does not overstep the line of politics, that I am unhappy with all of the folks running for POTUS, However come Tuesday I will vote,(I Iive in Indiana) however not really FOR anyone, but against the greater of the evils when there is a choice to be made
I also remember the 68 convention, the riots, & I am of the opinion that 1968 was the point when the USA really started going to hell
What is really strange, is that both Hillary and Barack, as well as the former President, Chelsea, and Barack's wife have all appeared within 15 miles of me and Bill was in town last Thursday. This is the first time since 68 that the democrats nomination hasn't been decided before now. Lots of money being spent for a $400,000 a year job!
