6000 is a fair price but Id offer 3000. Your advantage is Dodge is the ugly step sister in the trucken world. Unfortuneatly if it were a chevy or ford, it would sell for more. Thats your advantage as a buyer.

Id buy a used good tailgate if it were me. I bought one for my truck about 4 years ago for 200. Save the old, and repair it later, then you have a spare.
