Message:   depends on year of the truck on vented/nonvented.
68 and earlier all vented, I do not recall 69, but anyyear that the sender is offset to the pass side
of the tank will have a vent line built in to the sender < a small line to the vent> in that
case nonvented cap.

I get my caps at Napa. All vented caps have a valve built in to keep gas from coming out, however, when
the tank is full and pressure mounts they will push fuel out past the gasket anyway. This should only happen when your at 3/4 tank or more. I would be looking a "other things" like leaks at the tank, filler tube, ect also.......
