U say that as if all suffering or poverty is the result of that person's choices. That is the height of arrogance.
One can only make choices amongst the opportunities presented to them individually. Only few have grand opportunities to choose between. It all starts with their birth. Noone is equal at birth.
You can sit there all warm, cozy and smug in your little world of plenty and feel you deserve what u have due to your wise "choices".
But there are millions of humans on this planet, and in this very country, who are born into circumstances where their only choices are between grim and grimmer.
I may be wrong, but your posts show u to be a self-centered, uncaring, arrogant, pompous ass. If so, I feel sorry for u.
And fyi, since u asked, I was married with kids in 1981, owned and operated a 600 colony honeybee business and was driven into bankruptcy in 1982 due the fkg oil companies' phony fuel shortages. ($1.50/gal) I kept the biz and survived it, and wouldnt u know that just 3 yrs later I filled my bee truck with gas at 49.9c/gal. I still have the receipts to prove. It aint about economics. Never has been, never will be. Its all about market manipulation, media manipulation and commodity manipulation to create scares and phony "shortages" to rip off the working stiff.
In CA, the media has reported that overall TOTAL consumption of gasoline in the state for 2007 was LESS than 2006, in spite of MORE overall users of the product, yet the price did not fall. Where's the "economics" excuse for that? When WILL it fall? U got all the answers, let's hear it specifically. |
