Maybe I'll get in something more here. Home foreclosures in Colorado, California, Florida, and other places were caused my manyu factors, the biggest is the sub-prime housing lenders, getting peole into homes they can't afford at payments they COULD afford - for maybe a couple of years until the ARM took hold. If people are too stupid to actually READ their contracts and understand what they are getting into, and let themselves be talked into getting in WAAAY over their heads, I really don't have a lot of pity there. Nor do I have any pity for the unscrupulous lenders and real estate people that allow and perpetrate this problem, themselves talking people into loans that they know will end up in foreclosure.
Living within one's means is especially important these days! GET OUT OF DEBT! And stay out of it! Far too many people are living beyond their means. |
