Message:   I still think the basics are to bleed & fill the converter and to adjust all linkages including kickdown. The are basic steps whenever a trans/engine is swapped-removed or tranny rebuilt with new converter.

It's very possible for incorrectly adjusted linkage to cause problems with park pawl due to improper engagement.

A Chrysler converter isn't usually self bleeding unless you warm engine, shift through trans segment positions and keep checking fluid level. A newly rebuilt trans would have a dry converter.

The part about adjusting kickdown is because without kickdown mechanism a Chrysler trans can self destruct in a matter of minutes.

First the basics, step by step, then if it doesn't work look elsewhere...
